    As an executive coach, we partner together to help you grow from where you are to where you want to be, while achieving personal and organizational goals. We help leaders seek the truth about themselves and their organizations and shape their context to create their narrow road. Essentially, as coaches this means we fulfill two roles.

    Mirrors

    First, based on deep exploration of your background, we hold up a metaphorical mirror so you can see what you’re like. We investigate your narratives and identify your blind spots and triggers. Armed with that awareness, I help you focus on achievement.

    Flashlights

    Through our discussions, we help you turn on your metaphorical flashlight so you can see the hidden obstacles in your path and navigate around them. This involves investigating your current reality, clarifying the gap between reality and an ideal state, diagnosing why the gap exists in the first place, and recommending ways to close the gap.

About John Vermeesch

Founder and Steward

My narrow road is defined by my faith in Jesus, my love for my family, and my compulsion to inspire leaders to make the world and the workplace a little better every day! My journey has been shaped over a lifetime through the peaks and valleys of military, entrepreneurial, and corporate experience. Along the way, I have always been privileged to walk alongside amazing people and steward excellent organizations.

In the Army, I served as an infantry officer, leading and training soldiers stateside and abroad for nearly 28 years. I had the extraordinary and rewarding privilege of leading “America’s sons and daughters” in combat during Operations Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom and New Dawn. As a commander, I led over 900 people in Baghdad, serving over three million Iraqi citizens. As a Colonel, I Directed an Army-wide Center of Excellence focused on the ethical and character development of the entire U.S. Army.

In the private sector, I’ve helped leaders through both high touch 1-on-1 coaching as well as senior executive leadership facilitation. As an executive coach I’ve walked alongside dozens of leaders at early stage, high growth, and manufacturing organizations. I’ve been blessed to create and deliver leadership development programs for thousands of individuals at all levels of organizations.

My life is amazing not only because I get to do what I’m called to do, but more importantly because I attempt to live out my faith, I’m married to my best friend, and we have incredible kids. I’m also blessed to be able to be an avid sports fan and an outdoorsman.
